Summer Inspired Outfits

Can you believe summer is almost over? I’m already getting slightly excited over pumpkin picking and sweater weather. But not so fast! Summer is still here and thriving; so why not hit the sunflower field, have a picnic, go to the beach, whatever summer activity is your favorite.

A Picnic Classic

Summer Lovin’ Had Me a Blast

What screams summer more than gingham print, a picnic and some watermelon? I loved creating this classic summer look with a gingham print mini dress from Nasty Gal and some iconic vintage accessories.

Around the Town

One of my favorite things about this dress is how easily it transitions from summer to fall. Don’t you worry, I already have the fall style tips and pictures for this dress saved and ready to post when the calendar hits September. This dress pairs well with straw sandals like I wore above, or even some nude strappy heels to dress the look up. (The shoes linked below are not the same as pictured above, but the closest I could find!)

Honolulu Jumpsuit

Doesn’t this jumpsuit just give you major Hawaii vibes? I paired this jumpsuit with some white platform sneakers for a more casual look, but some black sandals would really make the colors pop! I even thought of adding my black belt bag to add some dimension to the pattern. (The jumpsuit tagged below is a different color than the one pictured above but the same pattern.)

Flower Power

FLOWER POWER! You can’t go wrong with florals for summer. I love the ruffle and puff sleeve detailing on this top, and the print is even prettier in person! And these are some of my favorite shorts; the length is perfect and the frayed hem is just enough. You can use my code AFERRARO10 to shop anything from Vestique for 10% off and free shipping! (The shorts tagged below are the ‘Legs for Days’ but they are out of stock right now 😦 so I tagged a similar pair)

Burberry Babe

I was just so excited for fall that I couldn’t not wear these Burberry print trousers. Secret: I’ve been obsessed with Burberry print since I was in middle school. These trousers may look a bit too fall-ish so I paired it with a bright white tie top to enhance the summer feel. (Another secret: adding white to a look always brightens it up and makes it instantly summer-time ready.)

Sunny Days and Sunflowers for Days

See, I told you about anything white! A white dress in a sunflower field may be asking for dirt and trouble but it totally pays off. You can’t see the front detailing but the criss cross front creates a nautical feel that would perfect for any dockside date night.
